Where will the donations go?

Josh has a goal of raising $25,000 for the 17q12 Foundation. 100% of the funds raised will be going directly to the 17q12 Foundation, a new non-profit that supports families and individuals affected with a rare chromosome disorder. It is volunteer run by four parents and a genetic counselor. Currently, families are relying heavily on the support of other families they have connected with online. Doctors are not familiar with chromosome 17q12 disorders, and this leaves families left to find whatever information they can on there own. Josh hopes to raise enough money to provide the 17q12 Foundation the opportunity to hold a conference in the summer of 2019. Raising $25,000 would cover the costs for the conference space and equipment, meals, childcare, bus rental, honoraria for the guest speakers, and the speakers'  flights and accommodation. Holding a conference would allow families the opportunity to learn more about 17q12 disorders from informed doctors and specialists. It would allow people the opportunity to meet others affected by the same rare chromosome disorder. Please consider donating to make this goal possible!
